Jun Kawajiri

Love and appreciate the beauty of "imperfection"

Professor Kawajiri Jun was inspired by the aesthetic sense that originated from tea ceremony, which embraces the "imperfections" of Japanese pottery, such as cracks, chips, and distortions, and has made this one of the themes of his pottery making.
There are cracks and deformations everywhere...but it shines there, maintaining its beauty and dignity, and remaining strong.
It expresses all that is imperfect: "human beings," "the world," and "the universe."
The eye-catching colors, playful designs, and powerful shapes are filled with such passion.
