Artist History

1957 Born in Kyoto
1977 Graduated from Kyoto Seika University, Department of Western Painting
1977-83 Began pottery career at Tsuchibuchi Toan, a Kyoto-ware kiln
1979 Graduated from Kyoto Prefectural Ceramics Training Institute
1983 Spent two years visiting Korean ceramic kilns
Studied under Jinnai Sakata in Mashiko
1985 Established Happu Kiln
1988 Exhibited works at Chawanzaka, Higashi Goro
Continued to exhibit works thereafter
1990 Exhibited in a group crafts exhibition at Asahi Toan, Kiyomizu
