This auspicious rice bowl set is decorated with two of Japan’s most beloved symbols of longevity: the crane and the turtle.
The smaller bowl features a crane in flight, while the larger bowl is decorated with a turtle. Delicate orange flowers and leaves add a gentle touch of color, while the combination of blue, green, and orange against the white background creates a bright and warm impression.
In Japan, there is a traditional saying, “The crane lives for a thousand years, and the turtle for ten thousand,” and both have long been cherished as symbols of longevity and good fortune.
Perfect for everyday use as a matching pair, these bowls also make a meaningful gift for weddings, milestone birthdays, longevity celebrations, or other special occasions.
